Use of the insurando.ch website is aimed at natural persons and legal entities from Switzerland or persons with a current or future residence in Switzerland. The data protection laws of Switzerland apply.
Data processing and use
insurando AG stores and processes personal data when you use insurando.ch services. Personal data is collected and stored, among other things, in the case of online forms, email correspondence, telephone calls, and comparison and premium calculators. Personal data includes master data such as surname, first name, marital status, email address(es), telephone number, address, gender, date of birth and details of your current insurance cover.
Use of your personal data
We (insurando AG) use the personal data you provide primarily to process your request/application and to forward it to the appropriate office/company or to the one you have requested. insurando AG is free to transfer or make available the personal data/datasets to any insurance company, broker, contractual partner or partner company – in compliance with the legal provisions.
First and foremost, insurando.ch wishes to be able to maintain its free and transparent premium and insurance comparison service. By submitting your personal data to insurando.ch, you also consent to its storage and subsequent processing and use.
The personal data transferred via insurando.ch may be used for marketing purposes, in particular opinion research, direct marketing and/or online marketing, telephone and email marketing.
Fraud prevention / protection against abuse
insurando AG may also collect and store personal and non-personal data (IP addresses, device information, etc.) for the purpose of combating fraud and abuse and may share it with security solution providers and law enforcement agencies – to the extent permitted by law.
Furthermore, we may hand over personal data if we are compelled to do so by law. This includes, for example, court orders.

insurando AG makes every effort to protect the information collected via insurando.ch. There is no guarantee that information will be transferred securely over the Internet. insurando AG implements a number of rules, methods, guidelines and measures to ensure the greatest possible security for the transfer, storage and processing of data.
insurando may use your personal data, including your email addresses, to send regular newsletters. The recipient has the right to unsubscribe from the newsletter (opt-out). In the newsletter, the recipient is provided with the option to unsubscribe. A newsletter does not necessarily have to contain advertising. The newsletter may also contain news about the company insurando AG or the website insurando.ch.
Third-party services and content
The insurando.ch website uses services and content of third parties such as Google, Facebook or other social networks to measure the number of visitors and to improve usability for visitors. For example, Google Analytics is used to collect non-personal data. Google Analytics is also used to measure how long a visitor stays on the site, how the visitor got to insurando.ch and which pages the visitor views on insurando.ch.
IP address, server logs
The hosting provider stores non-personal data in log files when insurando.ch is accessed. The log files contain the following data:
